"cowrice" was founded by Philip Lau and Grace Kwok in 2003. Their works are inspired by the smallest, barely noticed moments in life, contradictions between a peaceful and pleasant personality, and the irritations of modern society.Elegantly combining photography, words, illustrations and hand-made creations, ‘cowrice’ expresses their feelings about a simple but sensitive life.
'cowrice' was partnership with 'hoiming' starting Fungus Workshop at Central, Hong Kong, in 2010. Fungus Workshop is passionate about expressing individual creativity, and uses this workshop to share their leatherwork and attitude towards life with the world. www.fungusworkshop.net
'cowrice' started 'cowrice shop' online at www.cowrice.com and etsy in 2011. It is all about handmade, simple and lifestyle. They made things they need, they made things they like, they made things for their daughter. That is what 'cowrice shop' are selling.
Philip Lau 劉卓禮
born in Hong Kong at late 70s, graduated in BBA(MARK) and minor in Humanities(Philosophy and Religion Studies) at Hong Kong University of Science and Technology. love leatherworks, saxophone, photography and 8mm film shooting. currently work in Fungus Workshop providing handmade leather course.
生於70年代後期，畢業於香港科技大學市場學學士，副修人文學(宗教及哲學)。
喜歡皮革工藝，色士風，攝影及八米厘錄像拍攝。
Grace Kwok 郭小燕
born in Hong Kong at late 70s, graduated in BA(HONS) clothing studies at Hong Kong Polytechnic University. love drawing, hand stitching, illustration. she had been a tutor of children education for Hong Kong Art Centre and a lecturer of fashion and image for IVE. currently work in Fungus Workshop providing handmade leather course.
生於70年代後期，畢業於香港理工大學服裝學榮譽學士，曾為香港藝術中心之幼兒及青年設計導師，香港專業教育學院時裝及紡織學系講師。喜歡繪畫，手縫製品。創作題材以丈夫和女兒為主。
Lau Ying Ying 劉凝映
born in Hong Kong at 2007, talkative and sentimental, become the core of cowrice.com.
生於2007年，愛說話及感性，單眼皮及頭髮微曲，又像爸爸，又像媽媽。現成為cowrice.com的核心成員。
